Mechanical Technician II
Amber is currently a Mechanical Assembly Technician II at Pinnacle Ozone. She facilitates, assembles, and wires back panels along with skid assemblies up to the top-level products. She has a background in assembly and testing across multiple sectors – from aerospace to ground equipment. Amber focuses on specifics in her work and maintains a high standard of quality when building or testing products. Her experience with avionics and wiring techniques brings exponential value to our team. She enjoys working in a wonderful atmosphere built on teamwork that strives for results that everyone on the team can be proud of while making a difference. An exciting and fun fact about Amber is that she has six years of experience playing orchestral instruments such as the cello and the upright bass!
Web Developer
Angelo Bogoy is the web developer at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. He is in charge of the ongoing redesign and development of the company website. He ensures that the site works properly and that website-related problems are promptly addressed. Pinnacle is the first company that Angelo has worked with professionally as a web developer. However, during his days at university, he was commissioned to work on smaller-scale web development projects and even contributed to startups/projects as a backend developer. These experiences, along with his continuous learning and development, have equipped him with the necessary skills to handle his role here at Pinnacle. In high school and college, he was part of his school’s student publication as a layout artist. His layout and graphic design background helped him develop web page designs with visual consistency and a clear information hierarchy.
Given that this is his first corporate job, he appreciates collaborating with people from various backgrounds and learning from their leadership and expertise. Outside of work, he enjoys listening to music and playing single-player games such as Zelda to relax and unwind. Angelo also dedicates an hour a day to learning/upskilling!
Assembly Technician II
Bibi is currently an Assembly Technician II at Pinnacle Ozone. Her responsibilities include reading the wiring lists to make sure connections are correct and the products work correctly, which she then uses to assemble our products at Pinnacle. Bibi has experience as a technician in avionics and R&D. She is particularly gifted in soldering, a part of her work that she enjoys. As a newcomer in the field, she aspires to one day be a great craftsman – her goal is to learn as much as possible! She loves the team she works with at Pinnacle and enjoys getting to work with her hands. Bibi appreciates the time her team takes to help her learn and build her skills. Outside work, she enjoys reading and 3D printing. She is a DIY girl who loves to craft just about anything!
Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Professional Engineer (P.E)
As a co-founder of Pinnacle Ozone, Bud is the engineering genius behind our groundbreaking QuadBlock® ozone technology. In addition to helping direct Pinnacle Ozone, Bud is the founder and CEO of Plasma Technics, Inc. (PTI), in Racine, WI. PTI has been a world-leading supplier of high-energy power supply components for the ozone and other high-energy physics industries for the past 25 + years. Before establishing PTI and Pinnacle, Bud was Director of Engineering and R&D for a Fortune 500 company. Beyond his technical genius, Bud is a lover of all things of technical beauty, is a pilot, and collector of vintage muscle cars.
Service Manager
Chandler plays a crucial role in supporting our customers worldwide with their system installations, maintenance, and repairs. With 16 years of experience in the industry, Chandler has worked his way up from the ground floor, gaining in-depth knowledge of every aspect of the company’s operations. Throughout his career, he’s learned how our machines are built and developed an expert understanding of the various ozone processes.
Having spent over a decade working on a wide range of machines in the field, Chandler possesses extensive knowledge of how our equipment is utilized. His hands-on experience gives him a unique insight into solving customer challenges, and he enjoys working alongside our incredible team and customers each day.
Outside of work, Chandler is a true car enthusiast who loves pushing the limits of anything with an engine. He owns a VW with a modified engine that produces six times the horsepower of the original. When he’s not tinkering with cars, you’ll likely find him on his boat, exploring new places and enjoying life on the water.
President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
As co-founder and CEO, Chuck Smith brings over 40 years of experience as an inventor and entrepreneur to Pinnacle Ozone and established its charter to deliver better technology, products, and support to the ozone industry. Chuck has a long history as a technology visionary and is one of the inventors of the Guardian automotive ignition interlock. He then went on to discover a series of high-tech companies offering advanced industrial automation projects to various Fortune 500 companies, NASA, and the US Military.
Beyond his extensive business and entrepreneurial experience, Chuck is a community leader in the Space Coast area and involved with numerous civic and faith-based organizations. He is an active board member at New Life Mission, Children’s Hunger Project and Vison USA.
Lead Production Technician
David Miller is a versatile and highly skilled Lead Production Technician at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. With expertise in fabrication, testing, service, and research and development (R&D), David plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of Pinnacle’s manufacturing processes.
David’s professional background is extensive and diverse. As a licensed electrician with a deep understanding of controls, metalworking, and fabrication, he has honed his skills in electronics repair and assembly, as well as the fabrication, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. His well-rounded skill set allows him to contribute wherever he is needed, and he is always eager to learn new manufacturing procedures and help refine them to meet high-quality standards and production goals.
What David enjoys most about working at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions is being part of a dynamic and growing team. He values the opportunity to work with a group of talented individuals during this exciting time of expansion for the company.
Outside of work, David is a man of many interests. He is married to his high school sweetheart and enjoys a variety of hobbies, including amateur radio, disc golf, and working on cars and electronics. His dedication to both his professional and personal pursuits makes him a valued member of the Pinnacle Ozone Solutions team.
Operations Manager and Principal Mechanical Engineer
Ely brings over a decade of experience in mechanical design and project management to Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. As Operations Manager and Principal Mechanical Engineer, Ely oversees all aspects of mechanical design, ensuring that each ozone generator meets Pinnacle’s high standards from initial material selection to final installation and ongoing support. His role is integral in guaranteeing the quality and reliability that Pinnacle Ozone is known for.
Before joining Pinnacle, Ely honed his skills as an Engineering Intern and Junior Mechanical Engineer at Southern Champion Tray, where he designed high-speed machinery for the food packaging industry. His earlier career also includes valuable experience as a Department Manager at Walmart, where he developed expertise in customer satisfaction, inventory control, and product stocking.
Ely holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, along with associate degrees in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. These academic credentials, combined with his hands-on experience, equip him with the knowledge and skills to manage complex projects and lead his team effectively.
What Ely enjoys most about his role at Pinnacle is the variety of projects, ranging from containerized units to standalone ozone generators. Each project brings unique challenges and opportunities, making every day different and rewarding.
Outside of his professional commitments, Ely and his wife run a successful Airbnb cottage in Nova Scotia, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and love for hands-on projects.
Marketing Coordinator
Hannah is the Marketing Coordinator at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions, where she ensures the marketing team has all the tools they need to succeed. She collaborates closely with the sales team to keep partners and representatives updated on the company’s latest developments. Additionally, she plays a key role in maintaining and updating the company’s website and social media presence.
When attending tradeshows, Hannah dives into the action, helping elevate the brand’s visibility within the industry and capturing content for future marketing efforts. Her professional journey began right after college in the wastewater industry, working on a production team for a small company in her home state of Florida. She later transitioned into a management role in the lighting industry as a production manager at a New York studio, where she wore many hats and gained valuable experience in marketing.
Hannah joined Pinnacle as an assistant, eager to apply her background in wastewater and build her marketing expertise. She brings a creative mindset to the team, staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends and always striving to think outside the box. She’s proud to be part of a company that values continuous learning and fosters a collaborative environment, helping every team member perform at their best.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys collecting vinyl records, blasting music, and diving into a good book. She’s an avid traveler with an ambitious bucket list—Antarctica tops her dream destinations. A creative at heart, she also takes pride in her film photography and guitar playing.
Software Engineer
Jason is currently transitioning from a field service technician to starting as a software engineer. He assists with programming our ozone system software by creating code, installing our software on PLC controllers, and completing systems testing in-house. Jason started out manufacturing circuit boards for MRI machines. After that, he moved into the aerospace field and joined the Air Force, where he was a part of the home-station repair for C-5 and C-17 aircraft. He worked at the Orlando International Airport as a conveyor belt and jet bridge technician while he started school for software development. He has finished his degree and has transitioned to the software side of Pinnacle’s manufacturing process. Jason has years of IT experience and a firm grasp of solder work and industrial mechanics. He is particularly proud of being able to handle multiple tasks from both the technician and software teams. He appreciates being a part of a great community of people he works beside. His work at Pinnacle is fulfilling for him – specifically, our team working to provide clean water to people worldwide. Jason enjoys using his free time to make walking staves!
Purchasing Department Specialist
Jessica Kiesling is a cornerstone of Pinnacle Ozone Solutions, bringing 27 years of experience from her time at Guardian Manufacturing. As a Purchasing Department Specialist, Jessica is responsible for selecting suppliers, negotiating and administering long-term contracts, monitoring supplier performance, placing orders, and developing a responsive supplier base. Her role is crucial in maintaining strong and effective supplier relationships that contribute to the success of Pinnacle Ozone Solutions.
Jessica is proud of her longevity with the company and the extensive knowledge she has acquired over the years, much of which she attributes to the guidance and mentorship of Chuck Smith. Her commitment and expertise are evident in everything she does.
What Jessica enjoys most about working at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions is the strong sense of camaraderie among the staff. She values the team’s family-like atmosphere, where everyone supports one another and works together seamlessly—true teamwork at its finest.
Outside of work, Jessica loves spending time with her grandkids, fishing, and enjoying music of all kinds. Her passion for life and her dedication to her work make her a cherished member of the Pinnacle Ozone Solutions family.
Digital Marketing Specialist
Jhael Casia is a seasoned Digital Marketing Specialist at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions with over 11 years of experience in the digital marketing landscape. Specializing in SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media marketing, Jhael has a proven track record of driving growth and enhancing the online presence of international clients through data-driven, innovative digital strategies. With expertise in over 100 areas of internet marketing, Jhael’s skills range from content marketing, SEO, and website analysis to data analytics, conversion optimization, content marketing, and strategic planning.
A results-oriented professional, Jhael is committed to staying ahead of industry trends and continually refining tactics to deliver measurable success for clients. Beyond her professional life, Jhael is a proud mother of one and passionate about health and fitness. She actively practices Muay Thai and yoga and regularly hits the gym.
Jhael’s dedication to her career and personal pursuits reflects her belief in constant growth, whether scaling digital campaigns or achieving new fitness milestones.
Chief financial officer (CFO)
Kurt Mollnow is the Chief Financial Officer at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. With over 28 years of experience in accounting and finance, including 20 years in manufacturing and 8 years in construction, Kurt specializes in cost accounting, financial reporting, and analysis under both GAAP and IFRS. He holds an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to his finance career, Kurt worked as a General Manager in the hospitality industry. Outside of work, he enjoys offshore fishing and spending time with his family.
Production Manager
Kyle is the head of production at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. He is responsible for making sure that Pinnacle’s systems are built to our quality standards. He has worked in project management for three years and has been a team lead for many jobs over the last few years. He brings his expertise in project management to effectively lead his team and efficiently complete jobs. He enjoys getting to work with a great team of people at Pinnacle. Outside work, he enjoys going hunting! He is passionate about everything car-related and loves spending time with his dog, Stella.
Executive Administrator
Mandy brings extensive versatility to Pinnacle Ozone Solutions, holding multiple roles within the company. As Executive Administrator, she supports the President, Chuck Smith. In her capacity as Human Resources Administrator, she handles recruitment and employee relations, while also managing customer support and documentation as the Service Department Administrator.
With a diverse background in administration, HR, marketing, operations, accounting, customer service, and event planning, Mandy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company runs smoothly.
Fun fact: Mandy loves quoting movie lines and has a passion for dogs, football, and music. Outside of work, she’s often found cheering on her daughter at softball tournaments in Florida!
Mechanical Design Engineer
Marc Yanni is a Mechanical Design Engineer here at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. He is involved in designing ozone systems based on specs from the R&D lab with customer requirements, and he works on designs from conception. He started his career in 2013 in Illinois at a product design firm where he worked on many projects. He was involved in making prototypes and proofs of concepts that would go on to be presented for funding. He was part of a small team where he designed 3D models, machining, welding, and fabrication. Upon moving to Florida in 2019, he worked for a beverage dispensing company, where he worked on the testing side of the business. He then moved on to work as a mechanical design engineer and programmer.
Now, at Pinnacle, he brings his experience of working with smaller companies and his skill of wearing multiple hats within a company to propel him to success. From his CAD, machining, and woodwork skills, he has extensive knowledge of how to design products with the intent of manufacturing. For him, Pinnacle stood out because of the long-standing loyalty of the employees and his ability to learn from others around him. The culture within the company is a plus for him, while enjoying designing and building the great products at Pinnacle.
Marc loves to spend time with his wife and their two dogs. They love the Florida weather, which stokes their love for the water, hanging out by the pool, and going out on their boat. He is a gearhead and enjoys being in the garage working on cars!
Application and Project Manager
MJ is currently the Application and Projects Specialist at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. Her primary responsibilities include equipment and system sizing, costing, and project execution. She ensure’s that our ozone solutions are effectively implemented to meet our clients’ specific needs. She has a rich background as a team leader, with extensive experience in business and product market development. Her career has focused on driving the growth of new technologies and leading project teams to successful outcomes in the municipal and industrial water sector. MJ brings extensive expertise in project management, business development, and operations management. She is particularly proud of her ability to optimize industrial processes and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness in the municipal and industrial water sector. What she enjoys most about working at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions is the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that significantly impact environmental sustainability. The collaborative and innovative work environment makes it a great place to grow and contribute. Outside work, she loves swimming and listening to her favorite jazz classics, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Etta James, while working and savoring a great cup of cappuccino!
Global Sales Manager
Philippe joined Pinnacle Ozone Solutions in 2022 as the Global Sales Manager, overseeing all sales efforts and spearheading the company’s global strategic development. With over 30 years of experience in various sales roles across diverse markets and sectors, Philippe’s career has taken many unexpected turns, ultimately leading him to Pinnacle.
For the past decade, Philippe worked in his hometown of Montreal, QC, representing different companies within the water and wastewater treatment industry. It was during this time that he first encountered—and fell in love with—the Pinnacle Ozone generator. His extensive experience across multiple sectors enables him to fully understand the goals and needs of our customers, aligning with Pinnacle’s mission: ensuring customer satisfaction.
Philippe attributes much of his success to the talented and dedicated team he collaborates with, noting that their professionalism and strong work ethic make any salesperson’s job easier.
Outside of work, Philippe is an avid trekker and enjoys the challenge of climbing any mountain that comes his way.
Director of Business Development & Marketing
As Director of Business Development and Marketing at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions, Sannel Patel brings a wealth of experience in driving business growth and developing strategic marketing initiatives. With a background in chemical engineering and a strong focus on innovative water treatment solutions, Sannel leads the company’s efforts to expand its market presence, build lasting client relationships, and deliver cutting-edge ozone systems tailored to customer needs. His expertise in both technical and business domains enables Pinnacle to exceed industry standards in product development and customer satisfaction.
Beyond his role at Pinnacle, Sannel is actively involved in the business community and continuously seeks out opportunities for collaboration and thought leadership. He is committed to promoting sustainability and advancing technologies that contribute to a cleaner, more efficient future. Sannel is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from NYU Stern, where he combines his passion for innovation with strategic insights to lead Pinnacle toward ongoing success.
Chief Science Officer (CSO)
Thoram Charanda is the Chief Science Officer at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions. He brings over 34 years of experience to the company. At Pinnacle, he manages the research and development laboratory and establishes the preliminary design parameters for new ozone projects. He also performs ozone demand/decay, disinfection, oxidation of target contaminants, and advanced oxidation process studies.
Thoram attained his B.S. degree in Chemistry at the University of Florida in 1989. He went on to work for the Walt Disney World Company from 1990 to 2008. He was in charge of the new water chemistry department at the Living Seas as a part of the Life Support department. During his time there, his responsibilities expanded to caring for all the major aquatic animal habitats in the new Animal Kingdom park.
He came on board here in 2008 to create, build, and manage the new ozone R&D division. Over his professional life, he has gained advanced knowledge in water treatment technologies spanning a number of industries, including aquariums, aquaculture, hydroponics, industrial wastewater, municipal drinking water, plants, ballast water, groundwater remediation, and wastewater. He enjoys participating with the talented professionals on the team in producing creative solutions for such a wide range of water treatment challenges.
Thoram loves a good espresso latte, so much so that he has an espresso machine both at home and at the lab. He thrives off his morning and afternoon lattes! Exploring deeply spiritual topics and expanding his knowledge of how the universe and life work is a passion of his, and he also enjoys trail hiking, exploring natural wilderness, paddleboarding, and doing CrossFit!
Assembly Technician II
Tyler is an Assembly Technician at Pinnacle Ozone Solutions, where he builds, assembles, and tests Pinnacle ozone generators. His knowledge and experience as a technician spans 11 years and includes work with the Air Force. Tyler brings expertise in reading and understanding electrical diagrams and troubleshooting components in testing Pinnacle products. He loves the people she gets to work beside at Pinnacle Ozone. Outside work, he is a computer hobbyist who loves building and tinkering with computers, combining software coding and building physical circuits.
