Thoram’s presentation will explore how ozone and advanced oxidation processes (AOP) can serve as an effective solution for removing MIB (2-methylisoborneol) and Geosmin — the two compounds most commonly responsible for off-flavor issues in farmed fish purge systems. Off-flavors remain a persistent quality challenge in RAS operations, and this session will offer practical insight into how ozone technology can address the problem at the purge stage.
