As Pinnacle continues to expand its presence in international markets, we’re proud to certify our products, where applicable, to meet CE marking requirements under the Low Voltage Directive (LVD) and the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive. These marks underscore our commitment to delivering safe, high-performing equipment that meets the demands of global compliance.

What is CE Marking?

The CE mark—short for Conformité Européenne—is a mandatory conformity marking for certain products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). It signifies that a product complies with essential health, safety, and environmental protection standards set by the European Union.

In Pinnacle’s case, CE marking applies to products that fall under:

  • The Low Voltage Directive (LVD) – covering electrical equipment operating between 50 and 1000 volts AC or 75 and 1500 volts DC
  • The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive – ensuring that electrical equipment does not emit or succumb to electromagnetic interference

Who Oversees CE Marking?

Unlike ISO or UL certifications, CE marking is self-declared by manufacturers. However, it’s not a casual process. To lawfully apply the CE mark, manufacturers must:

  • Perform a conformity assessment
  • Prepare a technical file documenting compliance
  • Issue a Declaration of Conformity (DoC)

These steps are conducted in accordance with harmonized EU standards and, in some cases, require third-party involvement via Notified Bodies (EU-authorized organizations that independently assess high-risk products).

Pinnacle’s CE markings are the result of thorough internal evaluation, engineering validation, and documentation that confirm our products meet all applicable EU directives.

What CE Means for Our Customers

CE marking benefits Pinnacle’s customers by:

  • Ensuring product safety and reliability under European standards
  • Enabling global trade, especially with EEA countries
  • Providing assurance of low electromagnetic interference for sensitive environments
  • Reinforcing our position as a globally trusted equipment provider

While there is no single “certificate” issued for CE, our conformity assessments and internal technical documentation back every product we mark with confidence.

Globally Minded, Safety Driven

At Pinnacle, CE compliance isn’t just about regulatory access—it’s about meeting the highest expectations of safety and performance across borders. Whether for municipal, industrial, or international projects, our customers can trust that CE-marked Pinnacle products are tested, verified, and ready for global deployment.
