Jason Smith
Software Engineer
Jason is currently transitioning from a field service technician to starting as a software engineer. He assists with programming our ozone system software by creating code, installing our software on PLC controllers, and completing systems testing in-house. Jason started out manufacturing circuit boards for MRI machines. After that, he moved into the aerospace field and joined the Air Force, where he was a part of the home-station repair for C-5 and C-17 aircraft. He worked at the Orlando International Airport as a conveyor belt and jet bridge technician while he started school for software development. He has finished his degree and has transitioned to the software side of Pinnacle’s manufacturing process. Jason has years of IT experience and a firm grasp of solder work and industrial mechanics. He is particularly proud of being able to handle multiple tasks from both the technician and software teams. He appreciates being a part of a great community of people he works beside. His work at Pinnacle is fulfilling for him – specifically, our team working to provide clean water to people worldwide. Jason enjoys using his free time to make walking staves!
